Plan to give MPs iPADs and smart phones comes under fire

A government plan to give MPs and senators Tablet PCs and smart phones have been heavily criticised by social media users and some parliamentarians.

Senator Rosana Tositrakul, was one who opposes the idea. "Our country already has much debt so we should save the money," she said.

Rosana said the notebook computer that MPs and senators get pi3540 battery should be enough for their work. "No need for tablets or mobile phones."

Deputy Senate Speaker Nikom Wairatpanij revealed the plan to buy 3s4400-s3s6-07 tablet computers for senators and MPs to a 3s4400-g1s2-05 battery Senate committee last Wednesday and the meeting had no comment on it, Rosana said.

She is a member of the Senate panel on preventing corruption and promoting good governance.

On Twitter, many users c7000 battery questioned whether the parliamentarians will utilise the devices.

@paenewfolder said: "I think it is p55-4s4400-s1s5 battery more or less surely about commission. Are (the gadgets) necessary for them? No. But they will take squ-902 them if they are given. But what they are going to use the gadget for?"

@Bodee said: "It is important who started this, and what the prime minister thinks about it. The public should now."

@kidousenshi posted: "What kind of an iPhone costs over Bt70,000 (S$2,870)? NACC should investigate."

Deputy House Speaker Charoen Jankomol yesterday confirmed the p55-3s4400-s1s5 Bt50-million plan, saying that with such a budget they could purchase handsets and licensed programmes.

Some 700 sets of equipment would be procured and the 3s4400-c1s1-07 next step was to identify equipment specifications.

Tablets and smart phones would be provided to MPs, senators and senior officers of the 3s3600-s1a1-07 Parliament (director level and upper).

Charoen said earlier the Parliament secretariat had identified the "best" available equipment.

Democrat MP Boonyod Suktinthai, a member of the House Affairs committee, said the lg x140 battery panel had not officially discussed the issue but there had been talk that a survey should be conducted to learn about parliamentarians' needs and necessities.

He explained that the House Speaker had squ-904 authority to decide what to do with funds remaining from last year.

In this case, Deputy House Speaker Charoen was in charge of the 63gp550280-3a project.

Boonyod said he only knew about plans to give out iPad tablet PCs, but not iPhones as well.

"Some MPs are used to the laptop they are using, and they don't want to learn to use the touch screen. I still see some MPs carrying the Toshiba laptops nowadays," he said.

Hitachi GST -- Last Hurrah for A Hard Disk Pioneer

Last week Hitachi GST said that it had shipped 25 million 7-mm thick 2.5-inch HDDs. The company also announced a second generation 7,200 RPM, 7-mm drive with 500 GB storage capacity on a single disk and supporting a 6 Gb/s SATA interface and a 32 MB cache memory on the drive. The Travelstar Z7K500 is geared to notebook computer manufacturers, particularly those s26393-e010-v214 building ultrabooks where the 7-mm HDD height is needed to fit into the slim form factor of these computers. This high capacity storage device could help push the Ultrabook market into high gear.

The Hitachi announcement represents the latest in a long series of innovations by Hitachi GST as well as the earlier HDD activities from IBM and Hitachi. IBM and Hitachi merged their HDD operations into Hitachi GST in 2003. IBM was the VGP-BPS19 inventor of the RAMAC, the first computer system to use a HDD, which was introduced in 1956 and for many years IBM HDD technology development led the industry, including the s26393-e010-v214-01-0747 introduction of MR heads, GMR heads and anitiferromagnetic coupled recording media. Recently Hitachi GST announced its first enterprise SSDs through a partnership with Intel. Hitachi was also an early manufacturer of HDDs and one of the leading innovators and providers of storage in Japan and elsewhere.

Last year’s announcement of a merger of Hitachi GST into Western Digital will likely come to pass before the end of March 2012. A European Union commission made a condition of the merger be the squ-914 sale of an Hitachi 3.5-inch HDD production facility in China. Toshiba, one of the remaining HDD companies has announced that they will close their Thailand HDD manufacturing facility and relocate production to the cqb904 Philippines and China. Toshiba, perhaps in association with TDK/SAE is also a likely buyer of the lg t280 battery Hitachi GST 3.5-inch drive plant in China. If this comes about before the end of March 2012, as now seems likely, the Western Digital acquisition of Hitachi GST from Hitachi could be completed by the same deadline.

It may be too early to write an obituary for Hitachi GST but it seems likely that calendar Q1 2012 may be the last quarter for a company that has roots stretching back to the beginning of the digital storage industry and the first hard disk drives. The cqb901 company continues to introduce new technology and products needed by the lg a520n battery industry and if the merger finally comes to pass we hope that the employees from Hitachi GST will continue to contribute to the growth of storage technology and that Western Digital will sustain the best that the innovators at Hitachi GST can offer.

No outlet in sight? These solar kits keep your notebook charged

Some of us have probably fiddled around with the various solar charger technologies that have been available for smartphones and tablets over the past year, but I never realized there were so many options emerging for notebook computers until I came across this updated piece about the A42-K53 category from Treehugger, “5 Best Portable Solar Laptop Chargers.”

The article by Treehugger’s tech writer Jaymi Heimbuch features the latest kits from several different companies, including Goal Zero, Voltaic Systems, Brunton, EarthTech Products and Go Power! These A32-K53 things aren’t cheap, ranging from $459 for the lg a520n battery Voltaic offering (which comes in the form of a laptop case) to a whopping $1,815.28 for the Go Power! Weekender product (which includes a 125-watt solar panel and 1,500 watt pure sine waver inverter).

Mind you, these gadgets aren’t exactly all that efficient. For example, it takes up to 10 hours for the asus k53e battery solar panel in Goal Zero’s Sherpa Adventure Kit to fill the battery pack, which in turn feeds what is attached. Compatibility is also an issue with the products listed, you need to research your purchase asus x43 battery carefully to make sure that there is an adapter that works with your notebook or (if you’re inclined) your table computer.

If the geek in you is starting to think about all the 87-M54GS-4D3 fun outdoors vacations you can take starting this spring, but you know you don’t want to completely leave your notebook computer behind, this is asus k53 battery definitely a list you should consult. Of the offerings featured, I’m inclined to opt for the Voltaic one, not just because it is least expensive but because it is one of the lightest (the Brunton one is lighter) and because it doubles as a carrying case. It is, however, also the least powerful of the options. So that’s the tradeoff.

Read documents on your Kindle,Save your Noteobook battery

Need to review a document while you're on the go? The time-tested way to do this is to read it on your laptop, but that's increasingly out of step with today's modern lifestyle. Perhaps you want to save your laptop's battery for HP 590544-001 something that's really important, or maybe you're not even carrying a laptop HP 590543-001 battery at all. No worries: It's now a snap to copy virtually any kind of document -- from Word to Excel to PowerPoint to an AutoCAD drawing file -- to your Kindle.

In fact, let me point out that you don't even need to own an actual china phone. I don't -- I use the Kindle app on my iPad, and this technique works perfectly either way.

Just install Amazon's Send to Kindle app on your PC. After a short installation, this free program adds the option to send your documents to your Kindle (or the Kindle app on your designated mobile device).

There are two ways to send stuff to your Kindle:(KOHJINSHA battery )

For supported file formats, like Word and PDF files, just right-click the document's icon and choose Send to Kindle from the context menu.

For all other file formats, print the document. But instead of printing it on your local printer, choose the Send to Kindle option, which will now appear in your list of printers.

Moments later, your document will appear on your Kindle's home screen and you can read it like any other book or magazine that's installed on the HP 607763-001 Battery device.

Send to Kindle works with Windows XP, Windows 7, and Windows Vista. It's a powerfully handy way to leverage your Kindle (or Kindle app) for doing business on the road.

Portable Battery Powered Products: Global Markets

The market for portable, battery-powered products has grown from a few well-established niches such as flashlights and wristwatches to a diverse, rapidly growing market that encompasses HP ProBook 4510s Battery computing, communications, entertainment, photographic, and publishing products; a variety of cordless tools; and entirely new classes of military and medical products. This diversity has been accomplished because of a 572032-001 unique synergy between the products themselves, the batteries they employ, and the battery chargers and power-management systems that recharge the batteries.
Several entirely new classes of batteries have been commercialized during the past 25 years, including nickel-metal hydride, zinc-air, lithium polymer, and the widely used lithium-ion Compaq Presario CQ56 Battery design. Meanwhile, improved microelectronic battery charger controller technology Compaq Presario CQ62 Battery allows the commercialization of higher-performance, smaller, and safer designs. This, in turn, has allowed for the commercialization of portable products that would be impossible without improved battery chargers, notably 593554-001 portable computers, cell phones, digital 593553-001 cameras, multi-functional touch-screen devices, and cordless hand tools. At the same time, competitively priced no rechargeable primary batteries remain established power sources for many kinds of portable products.
As this synergy continues to develop, there are areas in which the portable product, battery, and battery charger industries could experience the explosive growth usually associated with emerging industries. Battery designers, mainly electrochemists, and battery charger designers, mainly electrical and electronics specialists, will continue to operate together, with new batteries and new battery chargers evolving in tandem to produce even higher-performance products.
This has changed how portable product batteries are marketed. All batteries degrade and must be replaced, usually much sooner than the products they power. In the past, this was addressed by 593562-001 using removable and replaceable batteries that could be WD548AA interchanged between different devices, or through an aftermarket for the replacement of original equipment manufacturer (OEM) batteries. Portable product designers now recognize the long-term value stream represented by the batteries, and they WD549AA jealously guard their control of this stream by designing batteries devices that can only be powered by batteries that they sell. This has created a whole new supply chain category that has elements of both the OEM stream and the aftermarket.
REASONS FOR DOING THE STUDY

After spectacular growth, the portable battery-powered product market is retrenching. Overall sales for some market sectors are level. In other cases, whole new classes of products are proliferating at the expense of once popular lines. Technical advances and a realignment of product, battery, and charger industry players must be matched by new marketing attitudes. Alternately, battery designers and battery charger designers must continue to cooperate to meet more demanding design requirements. With this in mind, this analysis is intended to be the most complete technical, economic, and business document of this type on battery-powered products and is designed to provide information of a professional nature. The technical data are dependent upon the accuracy of the manufacturers and technical sources that helped to make up the BCC Research database. SCOPE OF REPORT
This report organizes the portable product industry into the following market sectors:

Both primary and secondary HP G62 Battery research methodologies were used in preparing this report, which is based on interviews with commercial and government sources, literature reviews, and patent examinations. An in-depth analysis of technical and HP G56 Battery business literature and published dissertations; a review of the history of the technologies involved; and interviews HP G42 Battery with industry experts, company representatives, federal government researchers, and university scientists provides an assessment of the outlook for alternative electrical power storage. Other information sources include product literature from suppliers, scientific references, conferences, and patent searches.
Market assumptions used in this Dell Vostro V13 Battery report include those based on updates of material from an earlier version of this analysis, as well as from the BCC Research study Dell Vostro 3400 Battery Lithium Batteries: Markets and Materials. This report's author prepared these Dell Vostro 3700 Battery studies as well. Although many segments of the industry are well-documented, much of this information is based on estimates rather than hard facts. The distinction between these estimates and hard facts can be vital, and sources are identified wherever possible. When appropriate, information from previously published sources is identified to allow for a more detailed examination.

Asus N55SF

While the Asus N55SF may not be the speediest desktop replacement CYDWV laptop that PCWorld has ever tested, it's still darn fast. It also offers good gaming frame rates, and delivers considerably better-than-average sound and video. At only $1249 (as of November 9, 2011), it's about a third the price of top-performing desktop replacement laptops, too. Unless you need AS10D71 workstation muscle, it should be on your short list.
The N55SF's WorldBench 6 score of 128, while not record-setting, is still very good, and about what you'd expect from an Intel Core i7-2630M processor and an Nvidia GeForce GT 555M GPU. The main differences UM09F36 between the N55SF and some UM09F70 of its faster, pricier rivals, such as the Dell M6600, are that the CPU and GPU both sit a couple notches Aspire 7741G Battery down from the top of the scale and the GPU isn't workstation-class (in other words, OpenGL and CAD optimized). That said, you'll find games playable at any resolution and detail, short of ultrahigh detail at 1920 by 1080.
The rest of the N55SF componentry includes 8GB of DDR3 memory and a 7200-rpm, 750GB hard drive. The array of ports consists of two USB 3.0 connections, two USB 2.0 ports, VGA and HDMI video-out, and an SDHC/MultiMediaCard slot. The webcam is high-definition, and connectivity includes 802.11b/g/n wireless, gigabit ethernet, and Bluetooth 3.0.
The N55SF also has a BD/DVD burner, which brings me to the 16-inch, 1920 by 1080, LED-backlit display: It does a Aspire 5742 Battery marvelous job of displaying Blu-ray and other HD movies. It offers an extremely Acer Aspire 7551 Battery sharp image, and is a lot brighter than Acer Aspire 5742G Battery average; you'll probably find yourself turning the brightness down several notches under most circumstances. The screen also provides an exceptionally wide viewing angle.
The input devices on the N55SF are both attractive and a pleasure to use. The silvery keyboard is nearly full size, and has a better-than-average feel. You'll find a full numeric keypad as well as a handy Aspire 5741 Battery column of multimedia keys at the far left of the Aspire 5741G Battery unit that allow you to start and stop playback, as well as mute the Aspire 5736Z Battery sound and raise/lower the volume. The power, Wi-Fi, and other switches also reside along the top row of keys. The concept of integrating all the buttons and switches into the keyboard works quite well.
Although the touchpad and buttons are the same color and texture as the keyboard deck, grooves along the edges delineate them both visually and tactilely. Both are nicely responsive. The semiglossy texture (if a texture could be said to be semiglossy) is quite pleasantly so.
The Bang and Olufsen ICEpower sound on the N55SF is exceptional, though you'll need to Aspire 5552 Battery plug the included mini-subwoofer into its dedicated port to get the full experience Aspire 5552G Battery when listening through speakers. The subwoofer adds the bass that's commonly missing from the Aspire 5551 Battery vast majority of laptops; it's another item to pack and carry, however, and it isn't particularly svelte, albeit very light. Of course, the N55SF is not a laptop you'll necessarily want to tote around a lot: It weighs 6.2 pounds, and battery life is reasonable for the class at 3 hours, 52 minutes.
A small part of the reason that the N55SF costs less than the Aspire 5336 Battery competition is that it ships with the Home Premium version of Windows 7 instead of the Professional edition. That choice reinforces the laptop's envisioned role as a PC/entertainment box for dorms or small apartments, as does Aspire 5253 Battery Asus's decision to bundle CyberLink MediaEspresso, PowerDVD, and PowerDirector, plus other Acer Aspire 7741 Battery music and video software. Asus also provides SonicMaster, an SRS-like Aspire 5251 Battery bass, spatial, and frequency enhancer designed to help out with the audio, as well as to partially compensate for the lack of bass if you leave the subwoofer behind.
Asus backs the N55SF with a two-year BT.00604.049 warranty, a nice perquisite with any product. On the other BT.00603.111 hand, the company might have missed a styling bet by not rendering the ACER AS10D75 entire unit in semigloss: The top of the AS10D73 Battery machine and the screen bezel are a full-gloss black that, in my eyes, cheapens the appeal of what is most decidedly not a floozy of a laptop.
The Asus N55SF will appeal to anyone who wants great performance as well as a 1080p/Blu-ray movie viewer, a stereo system, and a competent gaming machine in a svelte package. For the price, you won't do better.
